2025 2026 School Assemblies

2025 from January to May, Getting Excited About Science school assemblies were presented across Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio. Very busy and a great for students, as some of them had not had a live school assembly since the pandemic. The summer saw summer school science shows all summer long including many with libraries, park districts, camps, fairs/festivals, science centers and scouts.

Fall and winter saw a live return to stage school assembly showcase for Chicago metro area in DesPlaines. Met many PTO, PTA, Librarians and others. Happy to see everyone and book shows for the 2025-2026 school year.

2022 School Science Shows and Workshops

This January 2022 Getting Excited About Science will be conducting workshops multiple schools. One principal said they could not wait to have us back and booked an assembly and 3 workshops. Another school will have 2 after school workshops for gifted 5th grade students. A third school will have an evening science fair show.

This past week, there have ben multiple inquiries on spring science school assemblies.

All shows, assemblies and workshops are guaranteed to engage students, teachers, staff and parents. We look forward to 2022.

Virtual Science Shows

Getting Excited About Science is available Live and on line. The shows include large scale demonstrations, science experiments that you can make and audience interaction during the show. You can pick the topics and experiments. Perfect for having a fun educational experience in this time of online classes. The Virtual Science shows are typically 45 minutes.

Forces in Motion assemblies and Hands on Workshops

This week will have 5 Forces in Motion science shows and 3 hands on workshops across Illinois and Indiana. Next week science assemblies in Michigan.

STEAM Hands on Science

This month will mark the 11th consecutive year Getting Excited About Science was choosen for Hadley Middle School in Homer Glen, IL This is for the gifted 5th grade program. We will conduct 4 different science workshops. It is always amazing to see the children get excited with their science experiments.

In early November Getting Excited About Science will be have STEM workshops in Calumet City, IL. This will be the school’s second year doing this. We will be at the school all day with experiments for the entire elementary school

Science Shows for Kids

Each weeekend in September Getting Excited About Science will be performing at 12:30 on both Saturdays and Sundays at Santa’s Village in East Dundee, IL. The shows are 45 minutes and have lots of audience participation, fun and large science experiments. These shows are also great for adults. Last Sunday we had 8th grade science teacher (with their family) come to the show. We all had a great time.

Space, Astonomy and the Universe

Gearing up for many Space Science shows at libraries. The show covers the foundations of Astonomy and Space Travel. During the show there are many opportunities for children to participate and have fun. Getting Excited About Science has presented space programs for 20 years.
