Busy Summer leading into Busy September

This summer I have performed for camps and scout groups.   Several camps had Getting Excited About Science for each session.   There were also large public shows at festivals, fairs and libraries.   Lost of traveling through Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan.   This summer also marked a mini tour of Chicago Public Libraries performing an Astronomy and Space show.

This September will have hands on science workshops and STEAM programs at several Illinois Libraries.   In addition, I will be at two School Assembly Showcases.    Book your school assembly early to ensure the best dates.

Busy Summer 2013

This summer, Getting Excited About Science will travel to the U.P. of Michigan 3 times and will have shows in Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois.    On July 4th our show will be at 2 different festivals including one of the largest celelbrations in the state of Illinois with Lisle Eyes To The Skies.    There will be many shows at libraries, park districts, schools, day care centers, camps and festivals.     Looking forward to each and every one.

Camp Science Shows

This week I will be in Wisconsin performing for organized school groups at overnight nature camps in Wisconsin.   These shows are an unheated auditorium with most of the students wearing sweatshirts and light jackets.    After the show, the students get to learn about wolfs and wild animals.    The nights end with a camp fire for the students.      This is the second year of performing for these groups in Wisconsin and I will be performing science shows for them Monday – Thursday and a special show on Saturday night for a different group and at a different campground.

Science show at camps

This was a busy summer with outdoor science shows at camps.  Here are a few photos from an Illinois camp with 500 campers sitting on 1 1/2 basketball courts watching Getting Excited About Science.   Getting Excited About Science is often performed outside during the summer months.  This is a very large group, however the show can be tailored for smaller groups as well.
