There are 3 free public shows at the Waukesha County Museaum on Jan. 21, 2012.   Show times are 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm   This will be an all ages show with lots of fun.   Call 262-521-2859 for more information.

A Special public show is at the Sandwich Opera House on Jan 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM.    This show will focus on the science in the Midwest.   Call 815-786-2555 for ticket information.

Niles Public Library will have Getting Excited About Science on Feb. 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM.    This is an all ages show.   Call 847-663-6622 for more information

Elk Grove Village Public Library will have Getting Excited About Science on Feb. 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM.   This is an all ages show.    Call 847-439-0447 for more information.

University of Illinois at Morris will feature Getting Excited About Science on March 3  at 1:30 pm for a special Earth Day program.   The show will be at Saratoga Elementary in the large gym in Morris, IL.

Chemistry Week

I was a part of this science celebration on Daley Plaza in honor of National Chemistry week.    This week all shows will have a few extra chemistry experiments and spooky science demonstrations.

I performed before Maggie Daley a ball drop experiment where I asked for predictions during the Chicago event.   It was a great day.   I was representing the Chicago Public Libraries at this event as thier Scienctist in Residence.

 

 

School Assembly Trade Show

The photo was taken from the recent Centre East School Assembly trade show in Skokie, Illinois.    Getting Excited About Science with Steve Belliveau has been attending this showcase for 17 years.  We have been on stage there many, many times.   Each year we catch up with PTA representatives from schools and librarians who have had our shows.  It is always good to see them again.

Steve Belliveau with Getting Excited About Science will be at several public events in the Chicago area.  On August 11, see him at Centre East Showcase in Skokie, IL  On September 10, see Steve at Blue Island Public Library at 1:00pm.  September 13 see Steve Belliveau at Premier Showcase in Lombard.  Steve has school assemblies on Sept. 16 in Homer Glen, IL.  On September 17, Getting Excited About Science will be at Archer Heights Public Library in Chicago at 1:00 pm.  On September 18, Steve Belliveau will be at the 57th street bookfair in Chicago witha a show time of 2:30 pm.    On September 23, Steve Belliveau will be at the Harvest of Resources Library showcase at the main Chicago Public Library.  Getting Excited About Science travels through out the Midwest and has performed in 11 states.   Come see Steve live and Get Excited About Science.
