Science Alive as St. Joseph County Public Library in South Bend

Getting Excited About Science will be the headline science show with 2 shows on Feb 1.   Show times are 11:30 and 12:30.   This marks my 5th time at Science Alive.   This is possibly one of the largest one day annual science events in the midwest.     The library does a great job and also has booked presenters from a South Bend TV weather news reporter, Notre Dame Chemistry show, animal shows and more.   Always look forward to seening the families checking out all the activities and meeting fellow presenters.

Busy week of October Science Shows

This is the busiest week of the 2013-2014 school season.   There are 3 shows Tuesday in Illinois, 2 shows Wednesday in Michigan, 4 shows Thursday in Michigan, 3 shows Friday in Chicago, 1 show Saturday at a library, and 3 shows Sunday for Spooky Science.    I took all day stocking supplies and packing the van.

Sensational Science

Come early to tonights LaSalle Public Library for the Sensational Science show at 6:30 pm    Last year’s show was sold out.   http://www.lasalle.lib.il.us/node/3048

Tonight we will have a hovercraft that will float kids and a shooting confettee cannon powered by a special source.    The science show is interactive and lots of fun.   While in LaSalle, I love to look at the lock and damm from the old Illinois Michigan canal and the kealboat that they have there.    LasSalle hats lots of history and wonderful people.

Getting Excited About Science is honored to perform Sensational Science and look forward to another sell out crowd.

Science Assembly & Shows amazing kids

Science is one of the fundamental concepts to understanding the world around us. The air you breath, the things you interact with, even the stars above all can be further understood with science. Generally science gets a bad rap for being a boring subject.  This is so far far from the truth! Steve Belliveau provides a science school assembly that will knock your socks off.

Belliveau’s science show combines his B.S. in Engineering with his talents as a magician to bring the joy of science to hundreds of schools across the US. Being apart of the National Science Teacher’s Association, it is serious business for Belliveau to spread the word of science. Since 1994, his act Getting Excited About Science has been seen on numerous tv shows like BOZO show, newspapers, radio programs, and public schools across the Mid-West. Kids and adults alike, all are drawn to his amazing performances demonstrating concepts of chemistry, friction, and more an entertaining and easy to understand fashion.

When Belliveau is not coming up with a new act for his science school assembly, he is traveling the Mid-West spreading the joy of learning science. With over 350 science shows a year over 11 states, Belliveau’s show Getting Excited About Science is the most popular science show. His show has even been recognized by the Chicago Tribune and WGN TV as an innovator in modern day science shows.

Currently Getting Excited About Science is performing in schools and public venues in Illinois and Michigan. The Palos Hills Park District, LaSalle Public Library, and South Holland Public Library, and more all are spots on Getting Excited About Science’s science show tour. These dozens of shows are all a build up to the end of the months grand performance for the city of Chicago at Daley Plaza.

When it comes to science, Getting Excited About Science is the perfect opportunity to educate kids to the wonders it has to offer. Statistically each year there are less and less graduates pursuing science degrees. With Steve Belliveau’s Getting Excited About Science school science assembly, it may inspire more future scientist to change that shocking statistical trend.
