Busy Summer 2013

This summer, Getting Excited About Science will travel to the U.P. of Michigan 3 times and will have shows in Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois.    On July 4th our show will be at 2 different festivals including one of the largest celelbrations in the state of Illinois with Lisle Eyes To The Skies.    There will be many shows at libraries, park districts, schools, day care centers, camps and festivals.     Looking forward to each and every one.

Science Fair

I was honored to be asked by a science teacher to help judge a local science fair.    I will read all of the papers, study their boards and listen to their presentations.   I take this very seriously and I look forward to being at the school.

Getting Excited About Science has been used by many schools to get the students ready for the science fairs.

STEM and Primary Shows

This week will feature a STEM night show at a magnet school.    This will be my 3rd year at this school and I feel honored that Getting Excited About Science will be a part of it.   The week ends with pimary elementary shows with custom topics for the students.   Friday’s show is a repeat show at a Palatine school (5th year in a row there).    Even with all of these shows, I am looking forward the summer library shows.   I am bringing out different demonstrations to tie into the library reading themes and digging deep into science.

Michigan Science Assemblies

Getting Excited About Science shows are being performed for 3 important shows:   Wayne State University (Women in Engineering Day),  Michigan Math and Science Academy (Science Fair) and very  Science Olympiad event at L’Anse Creuse High School.

These shows are for very large groups and 2 of them are repeat groups.    I am bringing new demonstrations and the van is packed tight.    Our shows will be in Cleveland later in March and back in Michigan in May.    We will have several Michigan shows at libraries during the summer.

Midwest Science Fair

This is Science fair season.    Here is an article about Getting Excited About Science helping to increase the number of students participating in the fair.

With the hard work of the parents and teachers we more than doubled the number of students participating.     In addition, we had a great turn out for the actual science fair which included any student from the school, parents, siblings, and more.    It was a “full house”.

This year I will be attending science fairs in many Midwest states.

Concept Science and Engineering Fair 2011

Getting Excited About Science stage set up

Just finished performing for the Concept Science and Engineering Fair where there were students from 30 schools across 5 states (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Missouri) at Cleveland State University.   This is open to any public school student as a way to promote science, math and engineering.

Feel free to contact me for information about the 2012 fair.
