Busy Summer 2013

This summer, Getting Excited About Science will travel to the U.P. of Michigan 3 times and will have shows in Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois.    On July 4th our show will be at 2 different festivals including one of the largest celelbrations in the state of Illinois with Lisle Eyes To The Skies.    There will be many shows at libraries, park districts, schools, day care centers, camps and festivals.     Looking forward to each and every one.

Hands On Science

Excited students at workshop

This has been a busy week of hands on science with a special day at Bartlett Public Library.   We had a sold out room of students.    Thursday is an outing with Girl Scouts for a hands on science program.   Lots of supplies are ready and I know the girls will be excited.    Later this week are school shows, cub scout shows and library shows.

Illinois, Indiana and Michigan Science Shows

This is the busiest week of the year to date of shows.   The entire month of Feb. just had a handful of off days.   Getting Excited About Science will be presented at many schools across 3 states this week and will be performed at Wayne State University on Saturday as part of an engineering conference.   Sunday includes a Scout Blue and Gold show.   We have already performed for about 8 scout events this season.

High School Science Assembly

Getting Excited About Science will be presented at Thorton Township High School this week.    Each year we present show for a few high schools.    Last year’s show was a great success and I look forward to the challange.   Elephant toothpaste is a big hit here as well as the hovercraft, gyroscope and liquid nitrogen.

An update:   The show went great and the school asked me to perform for them again next year (2014)

Forces in Motion

Spring 2013 will mark the 5th straight year Getting Excited About Science will be presenting Forces in Motion at Milne Grove School.    The show is  about simple machines and laws of motion and features many large scale demonstrations including the rocket car.   Way to go Milne Grove (5 years).
